"Now, Draco don't go to far, your father and I will just be in Borgin and Burkes.” Narcissa Malfoy smiled sweetly at her precious son before she patted her head and joined her husband at the corner of Knockturn Ally.

Draco scoffed loudly before he replied quietly so that no one could hear, “Yes mother.” it was hard for people to believe that people like the Malfoy's could show any affection towards people and well it was true but when it came to there only son they didn't hesitate to show it.

Draco was an only child and had been brought up into a rather demanding and rich family, he followed all his fathers footsteps and respected the man more than anyone else. Though Draco did get beating like any other son would get if there father was a 'ex' Death Eater.

It was not often that Draco got to roam Diagon Ally alone as his mother and father never really came to Diagon Ally. But Lucius had some important business with Borgin or Burke.

Pushing past a couple of old witchs Draco ignored there remarks about who did he think he was he just said in his head, 'Draco Malfoy, who else.'

The 11 year old coming on 12 couldn't wait to get to Hogwarts. To him Hogwarts was there for the taking.

Post  Astoria Greengrass Mon Jun 21, 2010 9:27 am

Astoria was eating again.

Again. Really, the girl had a stomach of a cow yet she always seemed to remain so stick-like, it was annoying. She even looked anorexic! But she desperately wanted to fatten up so her mother wouldn’t get the idea that she was indeed, bulimic. Which she wasn’t, thank you very much. Her hormones just hadn’t kicked in.

And this time, Astoria was nomming on a liquorice wand, another few in her little hand. She was in her sun dress again, her hair in a loose plait and her trusty sandals on her feet, clip-clopping against the pathway.

She didn’t seem to bother the large crowds. Her daddy was in Knockturn, doing ‘important bizzness’ and her mummy was at La’Cordeline’s tea-house in upper London with her friends and Astoria was a good girl that morning, and got the privilege of going to Diagon. Her sister was at Pansy’s house, and Astoria didn’t like Pansy all that much. She was a bit full of herself.

Swinging her hands slightly, the girl glanced around. The sun was high and blushed against her fair skin, and she grinned. Sun was nice. And so was this sweet. Smiling softly, she glanced at a window sign, her sapphire blue eyes staring intensely at the moving poster. Seven gumdrops for the price of two? Oh, she’d have to go there later. ‘I wonder how much mo-‘ oof! Astoria shrieked and knocked into someone, falling over in progress, cutting her knee on the cobbled stone. Luckily her clothes were ok.

Her bottom lip trembled and she clung on to her liquorice wand, shooting her accusing gaze to the offender. How mean. She was about to protest but then with one look, hr blood ran cold. It was Malfoy. She was bloody scared of him. Her sister liked him because he was ‘hot for his age’. She shivered, despite the sun.

Emily had been wandering around various parts of England all summer- it was just what she did. Even though she had her big house and all... it got boring. Today, again, was Diagon, though she had no particular purpose of being there that day. As she exited Florean's ice cream parlor, she sighed and continued down the block.

Em noticed a boy she'd seen before, along with one of the girls from the Potions store. "Hello, you're that Malfoy kid, right? My parents know yours, I believe," she said to the boy. "Hello Astoria!" Emily said, turning to the girl. "Fine day, eh?"

Draco had just come around the corner, heading away from his parents as he got smacked into. The girl was smaller than him, so she took most of the impact and fell over. Draco himself, just stumbled slightly until he caught he footing and turned to glare at the culprit. “Watch where your going would you.” he snapped at the girl before he recognized her as Daphne Greengrass's little sister.

Draco and Daphne had been friend for awhile and they would be going to Hogwarts together, but the smaller Greengrass would be there for at least two years. Glaring down the blonde head he crossed his arms and sniffed, “Your bleeding.” he nodded towards her knee before he snapped his head towards newer voice, “Malfoy?” he narrowed his eyes at the older girl. “Draco Malfoy.” he told her stiffly. He was no Malfoy, he was THE Draco Malfoy.

“Do they know?” he asked with a raised eyebrows. Draco was curious, people knew his parents but not many liked them per say. They either worked with his father and hated him or they were ex Death Eaters had no choice in liking his parents. Either way Draco was curious. “Your parents must know the Greengrasses then.” he smirked, looking down at the girl sprawled on the ground.

Astoria was still at the age where everything, and anything was unfair. She thought the way her mummy talked about muggle were unfair, and how her daddy would always drone on about how stupid Astoria was compared to her sister was fair. She even found it unfair when the kid in front of her would get an extra choc chip in their ice-cream at the parlour. Everything was just… unfair! “ You should watch where you’re going, Draco! It was your fault too!” She said, tears threatening to spill. She poked her tongue out at him.
Really now, how did beautiful and senile and cynical Daffy Greengrass like him, let along put up with him?

Really now! How… just how Merlin? ‘And I know that, meanie. I’m not stupid, unlike you!” She snapped childishly, remaining in sitting position and inspecting her wound. It wasn’t too bad, but the graze was bleeding non-the less, the skin of her bony –knee-caps were broken and grit laced in and out. She let out a sob. It huuuurt.

She wanted Daffy to fix it up, but even if Daffy was here, she’d probably try go canoodling over to Mr Meanie. “Draco, why dya have to be so… aah…” she muttered before standing up, wincing slightly. Even if someone had insulted her to the brink of morality, she’d still, whatever the situation was, call them by their first name. Even if mummy and daddy and Daffy despite this behaviour, t’is was the truth.

Now another voice echoed out behind her and she whipped around, although slowly or her knee was throbbing. The girl looked familiar, with blonde hair and grey eyes, Astoria smiled happily. She smiled happily. She was the girl from the potions shop, the Slytherin. The one daddy and mummy and Daffy would approve on, unlike the working Lion. Apparently. She offered the girl a liquorices wand, then glanced at Draco haughtily. She would be more than happy to refuse to hand him over the sweet, but manners child. What would your mother say, and your father, treating a MALFOY without respect? She relunctedly outstretched her arm, the candy in her hands, and ushered it to Draco.

"How could they not know them? I rember your name, Draco. We've met a thousand times, sorry I'm such a spaz…," Emily said. "I've talked to the both of you at those Pureblood meetings the elite have. My dad is Robert Vincent, he was childhood and adulthood friends and coworkers with your dad. I'm Emily," she said, hand outstretched for the young boy to shake.

"Thanks," she said to Astoria, taking the offered candy. "Yes, we do know the Greengrasses, as well. Her father works with ours as well. Not sure about earlier in life…" she said, the last part meaning 'I'm not sure if her father was a Death Eater as well, but don't you dare say anything.'

Since they were in a highly wizard populated area, Emily pulled out het wand and pointed it at the young girl's kneecap, clearing it of blood and stopping the bleeding. She put her wand away and helped Astoria get up. "There you go, all better," she smiled.
