Welcome to Nargles! If you are reading this, you probably want to get a hang of the rules before joining, or need a little refresher. Either way, that's what this thread is for. Each particular section of the rules will have its own post in this thread, so please scroll down if it's not in immediate sight.

Player Guidelines

We don't want to have a million rules here, that would make the game boring! However we ask that you, as a player, follow the ones that are set in place. It's not to give you a hard time, it's so everything can be fair and fun!

Apply to Play

Here at Nargles, we have four basic types of characters available for play. These are: Students/Children, Adults, Humanoids, and Specials. For each of these, there is a forum particularly for them, and a sub-forum for canon characters of this type. Canon characters are characters directly taken from the books, for instance Hermione Granger or Severus Snape.

•We periodically instill holds on character types, a list of those to be found in this forum. Don't worry if a type of character you want to play is on hold, it'll be reopened when we have a nice balance of characters here! All canons bypass these holds, so don't be afraid to make one even if there is a hold!

•Crossovers from another series are not permitted, Ex. Edward Cullen. Sorry, but we want to keep this forum Harry Potter based ONLY!

•Do NOT state in your application that they were sorted into a certain house or fellowship, as we do have a sorting hat type of acceptance- it's based on your application!

The Main Forum

•God-modding and controlling actions are strictly prohibited and any posts, applications or any other material with these in it will be deleted and the player will be contacted. If you have special permission from the other player for something, ex. killing them off or other vulgar actions, please let an admin or moderator know in advance before it is to take place.

•Our grammar policy here is adament, and must be followed. If we must contact you three times for incorrect spellingr, punctuation or capitalization, and depending on the severity, the punishment may entail a temporary banning from the site. We want to keep this site as clean from spam as possible, and this is one of the ways that will most likely work best. Prohibited:
+ Any posts with incorrect capitalization (Ex. emily was walking down the hall of hogwarts when she saw professor lupin turning into a werewolf.)
+ Any posts with incorrect punctuation (Ex. "Oh, hi". She said "What are you doing"?)
+ Any posts with incorrect spelling or lolspeak (Ex. "thx, i lawld when i saw tat.")

We recognise that not everyone's first language is English, but we'd truly appreciate it if you would follow these rules.

Content and Maturity

•Nargles is to be a PG-13 site, meaning any mature content unless marked is not allowed. We want to keep this a place where everyone can play without feeling like they don't understand it or don't feel comfortable around it.

•Please, please do not focus entire threads around politics, race, gender or anything else that could be offensive to other players, as not everyone has the same opinion about these things and they can be very touchy subjects.

•If you do have a thread with mature content, please post at the top of your post or thread a large warning in red text, for example:

WARNING: This post contains extreme violence and some swearing

so that people know whether or not to read the post.
